Hōiho Crew Neck

$59.95

The Hōiho, or yellow-eyed penguin, is thought to be one of the world’s rarest penguin species, and gets its name from its yellow iris and yellow headband. The Māori name hōiho means ‘noise shouter’, this lets you know that you will certainly hear their call. Hōiho are fussy eaters and will dive to the sea floor to gather their food, which is delicious red and blue cod, a little squid on the side and a few other species. The Hōiho usually lives to around 8 years of age, when standing can reach up to 65cm in height and weigh around 5kg.
